What I got for Christmas!

I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and got lots of nice things and ate some lovely food:) Here is just a few of my favourite things I got this year.

 -Japanese Cherry Blossom-
This is the Japanese Cherry Blossom voyage collection from the Body Shop. I absolutely love this scent; one of my favourites.

-if i stay & where she went-
If i stay has recently been released as a film in cinemas. I haven't seen it but got told it was quite good. I watched the trailer and I asked for the books for Christmas:) I still haven't read them.

-The Fault in our Stars film-
Of course I had to ask for this as I saw it at the cinema and read the book which I loved.

- Girl Online by Zoe Sugg-
I waited until Christmas to get this book and I was not disappointed. I've read it and loved it. The characters all had unique personalities and I really liked the storyline. Well done Zoe!

-Three, Never Been Better, 1989-
I asked for these three albums and I love them:) Three by Take That, Never Been Better by Olly Murs, 1989 by Taylor Swift.

-Teal Owl Cushion-
My friend gave me this as she knows I absolutely love teal and owls and cushions. It looks great in my room and I love it!

Thank you for reading! I hope you had an amazing break x

Top Five Books in 2014

Bonjour! Only 4 days until Christmas, isn't that crazy! And only 11 more days of 2014, where has this year gone? Looking back I thought that I have read a few really good books this year so I thought why not share them with you guys? Here are my top five favourite books of 2014!

Number 1:
The Perks of being a Wallflower
This is an amazing young adult novel. It is the diary of a teenage boy as he goes through his years in high school. It includes all the ups and downs of school life, relationships and puberty.

Number 2:
 Reliquim
This is the third in the Delirium trilogy and I have mentioned these books in a previous post but I just have to express again how well the storyline is put together. You beckon attached to the characters and you realise the conflict between types of people. This is a futuristic book, based in America and deserves as much attention as the Hunger Games.

Number 3:
The Book Thief
This is the story of a German girl living in the time of World War Two. It is narrated by death who catches people as they fall to their death. She comes to a new part of Germany and learns how to read. This book shows love, friendship and loss.

Number 4:
Looking for Alaska
Looking for Alaska is about a boy who goes to college and meets new people. He meets this girl named Alaska and of course falls in love then halfway through the book a big plot twist happens; I'm not going to spoil it though;)

Number 5:
Will Grayson, Will Grayson
I really enjoyed this book, it was full of fun but had a hint of seriousness. One of the main characters has an amazing personality. It is about a boy who meets this other boy and then it just shows their relationship from there. SPOILER ALERT: The end is very happy and good:)

Thank you for reading my post. There are a lot more books I have read throughout 2014 but these are my very favourites. I would've included The Hunger Games trilogy or The Fault in our Stars but I read them in 2013:)
Hope you have a good Christmas x

Barry M Goodie Bag

On Monday I was lucky enough to go to Clothes Show Live in Birmingham. If you don't know what this is, it's a fashion event in the Birmingham NEC building and thousands of teenagers and models around the UK go; you even see some celebrities! Including Pointlessblog, Jim Chapman and stars from Made in Chelsea. Unluckily though I went on Monday and Alfie and Jim had been there at the weekend so I didn't get a chance to meet them:( but I still had an amazing time! There is a huge main stage catwalk and a HUGE range of stalls. One of the items I purchased was the Barry M goodie bag which is what I will be showing you today:)

-Set of Six Nail Paints-
Left to right: Indigo, Pink Sapphire Glitter, Black Crackel, Atlantic Road textured, Coral, Venus Sunset magnetic

-Metallic Green Liquid Eyeliner-

-Coral Lip Gloss-

-Dazzle Dust-
Colours: 8, 90

-Black Glitter Eye Crayon-

-Glitter Coral Lip Lacquer Crayon-

That is all the products I received in my goodie bag. I thought overall it was a great haul of stuff! I will certainly be trying out a lot of these and I love how they gave you a range of nail varnishes:)

November Favourites

Ahhhh, Christmas is coming! Everyone got their advent calendars ready? This week I thought I would go through all the things I've been loving in November.

As the evenings are getting colder and darker, baths are great to relax. I used the Big Blue Bath Ballistic from Lush and it smells amazing. It makes your bath a perfect, clear blue with little bits of seaweed. The smell reminds me of the sea.

The TV programme I have been enjoying this month is the new series of Some Girls. This comedy is just full of fun and realistic drama school girls would go through. I love how all four of the girls have an unique personalities.

The album I've been listening to for all of November is No Sounds Without Silence by The Script. I have always loved the Script and their music. This album is great to sit back and relax to or even party too, if you want.

After watching Emma Blackery's video "Herbal Teas Saved My Health!" on her new channel Boxes of Foxes. I went out and bought the Twinnings Calming Camomile and Spiced Apple tea. I have to say it is really good. It tastes just like autumn and winter evenings:)

I think I have mentioned the Black Cherry Yankee Candle in a previous post but this month I have been using it a lot in the evenings. The smell is just so fresh and sweet. It freshens my room throughout the day.

That's it for this month. I am really looking forward to doing some Christmassy posts during December. If you have any ideas, please feel free to put them in the comments:) Thank you for reading this post, I hope you all have a great weekend x

Organisation

At this time of year my "to do list" is full. Revising for mock exams, homework, work experience, Christmas and of course everything else life comes with. So I find organisation key in my everyday routines. I always have a "to do list" even if only little things are on it like "clean the dishes". Not being organised is one of those things that make me feel anxious and worried. I find things pile up until my brain explodes so I write them down whether it is on my phone or just a notepad. This really helps as you can get them done and sorted out of your way. Recently I have been piled up with lots of responsibilities. school work is the main one. I feel my life revolves around the school, I don't want that to be. Since starting year ten, work has doubled in quantity. I don't know if it is just my school or everyone's. I know if you do A-Levels you may be thinking "oh well that's nothing compared to this". I know but I just want to say everyone has to go through GCSEs, they're difficult.

I write all my homework down in a list too, lists help a lot. I then tick them off as I get them done. I also make sure the place I work in is a place I enjoy being in e.g my room.

I think being organised comes naturally to some people but there are people who find it difficult. Start off with making lists, maybe even devote a special notebook for it. Anything to help you keep on top of things and have a fresh mind.

I give all my support to people going through exams or just a bad time. I still feel stressed, myself, over schoolwork but I just need to remember that everyone's going through the same thing. You aren't the only one. Good luck to everybody.

My Nighttime Routine

Hello! Today I will be showing you my everyday nighttime routine. This is from after I have eaten my dinner to when I go to sleep.

At around about 7 o'clock every night (sometimes not on a Saturday) I shower. Recently I have been using the Pantene ProV volume and body shampoo and conditioner. I would recommend this to people with fine, thin hair as it adds the extra subtle boost. It also smells quite sweet but not floral. You can purchase these in any drugstores or supermarkets. To wash my body I use the Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel. As you may already know I love the pink grapefruit set.

After I have showered, I wrap my hair up in a small towel and I change into my pyjamas and onesie (if its cold). As you can see below, my onesie is an owl (I just love owls!) I got this from New Look last year around Christmas, it's so cosy!
I then head back through to the bathroom to clean my face using the Simple kind to skin moisturising facial wash. I love this face wash as it leaves my skin smooth and soft. I find moisturising face washes better in the evenings, than exfoliating ones, as they leave you skin soft. I do use the simple exfoliating facial wash in the mornings though but lets not get onto my morning routine:) You can again purchase this in any drugstore or supermarket.

I then grab my toothbrush and my Aquafresh toothpaste. I give my teeth a good clean for two minutes then I rinse with my Aquafresh mouthwash. I find this leaves my teeth fresh:)

At this point I head back through to my bedroom and put on some face moisturiser. I use Dr Organic bioactive skincare organic vitamin E skin lotion. As you can see it is not face lotion but you can use it on your face. This leaves my skin smooth and soft:) You can purchase this product from Holland&Barret. I then apply the boots strawberry lip salve as I get quite dry lips.

I light my candles, turn on my laptop and watch some TV or do some homework or read a book. Then when I am ready to go to bed a few hours later and I'm tired, I don't have to get ready. I hope you enjoyed my nighttime routine, if you have an tips or advice leave them down in the comments, they're always welcome:)
Thank you so much for reading
