November Favourites

Ahhhh, Christmas is coming! Everyone got their advent calendars ready? This week I thought I would go through all the things I've been loving in November.

As the evenings are getting colder and darker, baths are great to relax. I used the Big Blue Bath Ballistic from Lush and it smells amazing. It makes your bath a perfect, clear blue with little bits of seaweed. The smell reminds me of the sea.

The TV programme I have been enjoying this month is the new series of Some Girls. This comedy is just full of fun and realistic drama school girls would go through. I love how all four of the girls have an unique personalities.

The album I've been listening to for all of November is No Sounds Without Silence by The Script. I have always loved the Script and their music. This album is great to sit back and relax to or even party too, if you want.

After watching Emma Blackery's video "Herbal Teas Saved My Health!" on her new channel Boxes of Foxes. I went out and bought the Twinnings Calming Camomile and Spiced Apple tea. I have to say it is really good. It tastes just like autumn and winter evenings:)

I think I have mentioned the Black Cherry Yankee Candle in a previous post but this month I have been using it a lot in the evenings. The smell is just so fresh and sweet. It freshens my room throughout the day.

That's it for this month. I am really looking forward to doing some Christmassy posts during December. If you have any ideas, please feel free to put them in the comments:) Thank you for reading this post, I hope you all have a great weekend x

Organisation

At this time of year my "to do list" is full. Revising for mock exams, homework, work experience, Christmas and of course everything else life comes with. So I find organisation key in my everyday routines. I always have a "to do list" even if only little things are on it like "clean the dishes". Not being organised is one of those things that make me feel anxious and worried. I find things pile up until my brain explodes so I write them down whether it is on my phone or just a notepad. This really helps as you can get them done and sorted out of your way. Recently I have been piled up with lots of responsibilities. school work is the main one. I feel my life revolves around the school, I don't want that to be. Since starting year ten, work has doubled in quantity. I don't know if it is just my school or everyone's. I know if you do A-Levels you may be thinking "oh well that's nothing compared to this". I know but I just want to say everyone has to go through GCSEs, they're difficult.

I write all my homework down in a list too, lists help a lot. I then tick them off as I get them done. I also make sure the place I work in is a place I enjoy being in e.g my room.

I think being organised comes naturally to some people but there are people who find it difficult. Start off with making lists, maybe even devote a special notebook for it. Anything to help you keep on top of things and have a fresh mind.

I give all my support to people going through exams or just a bad time. I still feel stressed, myself, over schoolwork but I just need to remember that everyone's going through the same thing. You aren't the only one. Good luck to everybody.

My Nighttime Routine

Hello! Today I will be showing you my everyday nighttime routine. This is from after I have eaten my dinner to when I go to sleep.

At around about 7 o'clock every night (sometimes not on a Saturday) I shower. Recently I have been using the Pantene ProV volume and body shampoo and conditioner. I would recommend this to people with fine, thin hair as it adds the extra subtle boost. It also smells quite sweet but not floral. You can purchase these in any drugstores or supermarkets. To wash my body I use the Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel. As you may already know I love the pink grapefruit set.

After I have showered, I wrap my hair up in a small towel and I change into my pyjamas and onesie (if its cold). As you can see below, my onesie is an owl (I just love owls!) I got this from New Look last year around Christmas, it's so cosy!
I then head back through to the bathroom to clean my face using the Simple kind to skin moisturising facial wash. I love this face wash as it leaves my skin smooth and soft. I find moisturising face washes better in the evenings, than exfoliating ones, as they leave you skin soft. I do use the simple exfoliating facial wash in the mornings though but lets not get onto my morning routine:) You can again purchase this in any drugstore or supermarket.

I then grab my toothbrush and my Aquafresh toothpaste. I give my teeth a good clean for two minutes then I rinse with my Aquafresh mouthwash. I find this leaves my teeth fresh:)

At this point I head back through to my bedroom and put on some face moisturiser. I use Dr Organic bioactive skincare organic vitamin E skin lotion. As you can see it is not face lotion but you can use it on your face. This leaves my skin smooth and soft:) You can purchase this product from Holland&Barret. I then apply the boots strawberry lip salve as I get quite dry lips.

I light my candles, turn on my laptop and watch some TV or do some homework or read a book. Then when I am ready to go to bed a few hours later and I'm tired, I don't have to get ready. I hope you enjoyed my nighttime routine, if you have an tips or advice leave them down in the comments, they're always welcome:)
Thank you so much for reading
