In the next few weeks I am thinking of writing a series of blog posts about school since it is now the start of the Summer term. I would love your opinions on that!

Over the Spring Break my family and I took a trip up to the Isle of Skye which is a beautiful island off the west coast of Scotland. It was a very long drive up there but it was worth it to see the beautiful scenery. We had really great weather which was very lucky since previously this year they have had wind, rain and snow! I thought I would do a few posts on the photos I took there so I can share my experiences with you lovely bunch. I hope you enjoy them, I certainly enjoyed going up to Skye and taking them!

This was a pretty waterfall tumbling off a cliff into the sea

The view from the north island into the Atlantic Ocean

The harbour at a small town called Portree

The beautiful sunset over the mountains
Thank you for reading, keep an eye out for Part Two next week!

The other day the sun was out and it felt like the first signs of Summer. My best friend and I were thinking ahead and going through all the fun activities we could do in the Summer together and we decided to write a list, like a bucket list. I thought I would share a few ideas with you and see what you think. I hope this inspires you to do lots of nice things this Summer with your family and friends.
  1. Have a picnic
  2. Camp out in the garden in a tent
  3. Watch a sunrise
  4. Star gaze
  5. Make an ice cream sundae
  6. Take a walk through the woods
  7. Go on a bike ride
  8. Swim in a river
  9. Film a minute every time we do something together
  10. Take lots of pictures
I think this is a great idea to do with your friends as it brings you together more throughout Summer and it also makes lots of memories you can treasure forever. Thank you for reading, see you soon!

Hello! Is it officially Spring yet? I walked out the door the other day and suddenly I was hit with warm, golden light that was streaming through the budding trees. The birds were tweeting and there were lambs in the fields! There was a faint haze on the horizon and I could see for miles into the clear blue sky that had one small aeroplane trail across it like a line of candyfloss. I am lucky enough to live in a beautiful area in the north of England with small, narrow lanes and high, tangled hedges. I just wanted to share the Spring spirit by writing a post. All these signs instantly make me think of the long days of Summer...yes I said Summer! It is on the horizon! Shops are starting to stock their Spring/Summer collections which I love:) All these factors make me so happy. Spring is just a time of the year where you can freshen everything up and change your wardrobe from the fluffy sweaters to floral shorts. I will miss Winter and the dark evenings but I am looking forward to Summer and all its delights. I may say all this but in actual fact British Summers aren't all sun and warmth. There are the days where you sit inside and watch rain pour down your windows. This just makes warm days and golden evenings even more special.
Sorry this was such a random post but thank you for reading!

Quick and Easy Easter Treats!

Hello, I wish you all a happy Easter and a great weekend! Since the spring break started I want to blog a bit more with the lighter evenings and the better weather I have been motivated. Anyways on with the post. These are just two simple snacks that relate to the theme of Easter!

Carrot Smoothie
I was inspired to do this by Niomi Smart who does really nice healthy food videos on Youtube. I changed the recipe up a bit though:) This makes two medium sized smoothies.

You will need for the orange smoothie:
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 big orange
  • 1 cup of orange juice
You blend them all together in a blender and pour into glasses then you do the green juice.

You will need for the green juice:
  • 1 banana
  • 1 handful of spinach
  •  1 squeeze of a lemon
Once you have blended those together gently pour on top of the orange smoothie so you produce a glass that resembles a carrot:)

Easter Nests
For this recipe you will need:
  • 75g cornflakes
  • 225g plain chocolate
  • 1tbsp golden syrup
  • 20g butter
  • 1 packet of mini eggs
You melt the chocolate, golden syrup and butter in a glass bowl over a pan of boiling water. Once it is melted you can slowly stir in the cornflakes, coating ever flake with chocolate. Then spoon your mixture into 12 cupcake cases in a tray and place three mini eggs on top of each cake. Place in the fridge to cool for 1 hour.

In the comments I would love to find out what your favourite type of Easter egg is! I hope you all have a good day, thank you for reading!
