20 Things I want to do in 2015!

I can't believe it is the 17th January, this year is already flying by! Anyway I came on here today to write about my aims in 2015 (not my time management!). As well as my new years resolutions (which I wrote about a few posts ago) I want some smaller aims/activities I can complete this year! Some of these are very small things and some are things that people do everyday but some of them for me will hopefully be quite challenging. Here we go...:)

1. Dye my hair (non permanent obviously)
2. Keep writing weekly blog posts!
3. Purchase a dark lipstick to wear in Autumn
4. Read 30 books
5. Straighten or curl my hair at least 5 times (you may have guessed I barely ever straighten or curl my hair;)
6. Build a snowman
7. Go ice skating
8. Catch an autumn leaf
9. Take loads of photos
10. Do a 30 day photo challenge
11. Buy some converse:)
12. Win a snowball fight
13. Paddle in the sea
14. Collect flowers in a flower press
15. Find a beautiful shell
16. Experiment more with clothes
17. Vlog a day
18. Experiment more with baking
19. Make a candle
20. Make 2015 the best year yet!!

I think this is a great idea as when I feel down this year I can do one of these tasks:) It is just something to complete throughout my year of 2015. I have proved here that you don't always have to aim for big things to be happy, just simple small things that mean something to you. I am relying on the weather to complete a few of these but as I am writing this there is a soft sprinkling of snow outside:) I will keep you posted on how my aims are going:) Be sure to write your own list and post it to me on twitter using my name @ScarletCherry4.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have an excellent weekend,

Scarlet x

The Internet...

Over the last year I have learned a lot about the internet...not everything - I don't think anyone knows that. The haters, the fandoms and the different webpages. I recently read Girl Online by Zoe Sugg and it made me realise how quickly something can go from being private to going viral. I know it's not a true story but it makes you understand actually how big the world wide web is.

Then there is the hate which is a totally different story. Some people just feel the need to make other people sad and unhappy. Hate is a thing that is all over the internet even if it is hidden away in a comment on youtube or a small tweet on twitter. Little things can make a huge impact. Nobody is perfect, everyone should know that.

You may feel angry or annoyed at someone but is posting something against them making you feel any better? Imagine that was you receiving that hate. How could it effect you? Would you feel that everyone is against you? Would you feel less confident? It certainly won't make you feel any better. Hate is better when it is unsaid. If you don't like a certain person, don't read their tweets, don't watch their videos, don't look at their pictures. If hate wasn't around the internet would be a lot nicer and saver environment. People would be able to use it to entertain, educate, a place to be happy and meet new people.

Don't let the number of likes you get on Instagram or Facebook bring you down, do whatever makes you the happiest. There is more to everyone than just likes on a webpage. Next time you feel the need to express your negative thoughts towards someone on the internet just remember that it could hurt them. It could make them unhappy and they could loose confidence. These people could be making a lot of other people happy so don't stop them. Just think before posting anything online. Once online; everyone can view it. It's up to you, your choice.

I know this is a lot different to my usual posts but I just feel this needs to be said. This post wasn't telling anyone off, it was just to make people realise.
 Thank you for reading x

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope you all have a splendid 2015, make it the best year yet!

I always make new year resolutions so I thought why not share them with you guys this year! *listening to the new Take That album; bursting into song now and again;)*

1. Do more of what makes me happy. I may have nicked this one from Alfie Deyes, PointlessBlog, but it is so true! If I do things I'm not comfortable with it's going to make me unhappy.

2. Try hard at school, complete my first year of GCSEs. This one I always put down but especially this year! As this is one of the most important years of my education (according to all my teachers!)

3. Become more confident. Care less about what people think of me. I always have this problem at school; I can't put my hand up in class just because I'm scared of drawing attention to myself. I may write more about that in another post.

I'm only going to write three as they will be easier to complete if there are less. I will keep you updated how they go:) Tell me some of your resolutions down in the comments, I will love to see them. I hope you all have an amazing 2015, I am sure this year shall be a good one for posts on this blog:) Thank you for being part of my 2014!
