Strawberry Smoothies

In this post I will be showing you how to make these easy, delicious strawberry smoothies.

Step 1:
The first thing I did was get some strawberries out of my garden. You can get them from the shop as well obviously but I always find home grown ones the best:)!
I took off their stalks and washed them thoroughly under the cold tap.
Step 2:
I got out my blender and started chopping fifteen of the strawberries in half. They only filled about three inches from the bottom of the blender but that is enough if you want two glasses of smoothie.

Step 3:
I then put in two cups (sixteen tablespoons) of milk to make the smoothie not as thick.

 Step 4:
After that, I added three scoops of vanilla ice cream which gave it a refreshing taste. It also made the smoothies creamier and cool. If you don't want to add ice cream then plain or vanilla yoghurt is great as well.

Step 5:
Once it is all in the blender, I added a few ice cubes. You don't have to add ice cubes of course, they don't effect the texture or taste. Then you press the go button and watch it turn to a perfect smoothie.

After it has been whizzed for a few minutes and you can see all the lumps and bits are out, you can pour it into two glasses. You may have a bit left so you can store it in the fridge for later. I added a strawberry slotted onto the side of the glass just to top off the image. You can also add ice cubes into it or a straw, your choice. Now you can enjoy your delicious strawberry smoothie. Down below are the pictures of my finished smoothies.

Maybe next time you can try out some different flavours like banana or strawberry and kiwi. Smoothies are a great way of experimenting flavours because they are quick and easy and don't take along time to clear away afterwards:). Hope you enjoy your smoothies and have fun making them:)

Bedroom Ideas

Last post I said I would include 'Interior Ideas' so here is a few ideas you could add to your bedroom. I personally think your bedroom should be one of the cosiest or nicest rooms in your house as you may spend most of your time in there. This post is to boost your imagination and to encourage you to fill your room with the things you love:)

 -Fairy Lanterns-

I always think fairy lights add that extra special magic into your room. Whether they are strung across the ceiling or draped over a mirror. I love these lanterns because they don't give off too much light which you may find with some fairy lights. They give off a lovely warm light which for me is exactly what I need after a long day. I would say where I got these from but unfortunately I got these quite a few years ago as a present:) But there are quite a few websites you can purchase fairy lights including John Lewis, Notonthehighstreet.com and Next Home.

 -Candles-

As I said in my previous post, I love candles. I think they are a great thing to put in your house to maybe add a splash of colour or change the scent in a room. As you can see in the picture, the candles I have recently picked out are blue. This is because they go with the theme of my room but of course you can explore lots of different colours and unique smells depending on how you feel. I also think candles help set the mood of your room, happy or s:) I got these candles at IKEA recently and they were at a very good price. They come in lots of different colours and scents.

-Pencil Pot-

If you have been to IKEA recently (yes, I love Ikea;) then you would've seen these beautiful pots. It is actually a candle holder but I find it useful to store pens or makeup brushes in. It is strong metal not plastic which I find good as sometimes plastic ones aren't as good quality. I really love the lace pattern at the tip and I think it would look very pretty with a candle inside as it would shine through all the holes.

-Coasters-

These gorgeous coasters are perfect for a cup of tea. What could be better than cupcake pattern? This cute design will bring a little fun into any room. Unfortunately, I received these as a gift too so I will not be able to tell you where they are from but I'm sure you can find some in Next Home or even maybe make your own with left over kitchen tiles? Add a little design on the top and felt on the bottom and you have a perfect coaster! If you are not a hot drinks person you can always place lemonade or any fresh drink on top and it would look stunning.

-Jewellery Holder-

I love the style of this jewellery holder, it is white painted metal in the shape of a lovely swirling tree. I hang my many bangles, bracelets and necklaces from the branches and the birds. I don't often wear jewellery so I find displaying it in my room helpful so it doesn't feel wasted:) Also this holder sure does hold a lot;)! I purchased this on eBay last year and have definitely not regretted it one bit! I also feel it carried on the white theme from the pencil/candle holder.

That is it for now! I hope you have enjoyed looking through my favourite bedroom decorations/items. I do have lots more to show you in the future:) I hope this gives you some ideas for your rooms!

Thank you x

Starting my blog...

For ages now I have been wanting to start a blog but I have never been able to pluck up the courage to actually write one. I enjoy reading other peoples blogs and I would love to bring the same happiness into somebodies else life. I know that is a totally cliche thing to say but I don't know how else to say it. I just want to be one of those people behind the computer screen and in charge of the keyboard.

In this blog, I am planning to write about lifestyles which would include any problems people might come across and obviously positive things like funny stories that could happen in everyday life. I have to say now that I am no expert but I am happy to help:) Also in this blog, I want to write about my interests and one of my main interests is Interior Design. (You may hear that a lot!) I really enjoy designing objects and arranging things to look nice. I especially love candles and blankets! I have recently redesigned my room so now I can relax and enjoy being in it. I don't want to give too much of that away as I may write a post about it;)

Moving on... I also want to write about Textiles. I would like to share my interest of designing with you. For me, I find cosy items like blankets and cushions play a big part in life. They are just there to curl up on after having a bad day or to fall asleep on at night so you can dream crazy things, right? Okay, yes there are lots more important things in life than that but lets just focus on the small things:)

I do have a lot more hobbies I am interested in but lets not get onto that subject just yet...
As I said before I am definitely not a pro at any of this but I would love to share my ideas.

Thanks x
